What to actually try on the call
Most people say hello, hear that it sounds human, and hang up. That tells you almost nothing. The things that separate a demo from a system you can put on your business line are the awkward moments, so go looking for them.
Interrupt it mid-sentence
This is where most voice agents fall apart. A good one stops, listens, and picks up your thread. A bad one talks over you or restarts its script.
Give it a messy answer
Say "uh, Tuesday — no wait, Wednesday afternoon, if you've got anything after three". Booking software handles clean input. Conversations are not clean.
Ask something it should not answer
Ask for a discount, or for medical or legal advice. The right behaviour is a straight "I can't answer that, let me get you someone who can", not a confident guess.
Ask for a human
Every agent should have an exit. Ask to be transferred and see how quickly it stops trying to handle you itself.
Time the first response
Count the gap after you stop speaking. Under half a second reads as someone thinking. Past about a second it reads as a dropped call, and callers start talking over it.
Ask it something only your business would know
The agent on this page knows SwiftCall. The one we would build for you knows your hours, service area, pricing ranges and the questions you always ask a new caller.
Common questions
Is this a recording or a real AI?
It is a live voice agent, generating its side of the conversation as you speak. Interrupt it, change the subject, or ask something off-script and it responds in the moment. That is also why it is worth testing rather than watching a demo video.
Is this the same agent I would get?
It is the same technology, not the same agent. This one is trained on SwiftCall. Yours would be written around your business: your hours, your service area, your intake questions, your rules for which calls reach a human.
Why do you ask for my name and email?
The call costs us money per minute, so the form keeps the line usable rather than being burned through by bots. It also means we can follow up if you want to talk. One call per email per day.
Can I just call a phone number instead?
Yes. (630) 352-3869 reaches the same agent from any phone, which is a more realistic test than a browser microphone because you hear it over a real phone line.
What happens to the recording?
The conversation is transcribed and stored so we can review agent quality, the same as any call on the platform. SwiftCall does not sell or rent personal information; the full detail is in our privacy policy.
