An AI booking agent for restaurants

The host stand is slammed and the phone keeps ringing anyway. We build an AI agent that takes the booking, runs the waitlist and answers the questions about hours, the menu and parking. It works by call or by text, at 7 PM on a Friday or 1 AM on a Tuesday.

Text thread Agent on

  1. GuestHi, any chance of a table for 4 tonight around 7?
  2. Booking agent7 is full, but I can do 7:30 or 8:15. Want one of those?
  3. Guest7:30 works. One of us has a nut allergy.
  4. Booking agentDone. Table for 4 tonight at 7:30, nut allergy noted for the kitchen. Your confirmation text is on its way.

Reservation added: tonight, 7:30, party of 4, nut allergy

Illustrative conversation, not a real guest.

What it handles

Most nights the phone brings the same six jobs, and the agent can take every one of them.

Booked by the agent Open

  • Reservations

Party size, date, time, the high chair, the nut allergy. It books into the system you already use when that system allows it, then texts the guest a confirmation.

  • The waitlist

Booked solid tonight? It offers the next open time or adds the guest to the waitlist, so a full book doesn't turn into a lost guest.

  • Late calls and texts

People plan the weekend at 11 PM. The agent picks up then too, and answers texts the same way, so nobody waits until you open to get a table.

  • Menu and hours

Open on Easter? Gluten-free menu? Where do I park? It answers from what you told it, and when it doesn't know, it says so.

  • Private events

Large parties and event requests get the date, headcount and contact details written down, then go straight to whoever books events.

  • The handoff

Complaints, press calls, suppliers and anything strange go to a person, because the agent isn't there to improvise.

Built for places with a host stand

Restaurants, bars, supper clubs, golf courses and country clubs: anywhere the phone rings hardest right when your staff are busiest with the guests in front of them. It's the reservations agent from our AI agents menu, set up for the way your floor runs.

Mostly need the phone answered during service? See AI phone answering for restaurants.

  1. We learn your floor. Hours, menu, seating rules, how far ahead you book, and who gets the calls the agent shouldn't take.
  2. We build a demo. Free, on your restaurant, with your real answers.
  3. You try to break it. Call it during a pretend dinner rush. Ask about the vegan options. We fix whatever you find.
  4. It goes live. On your real number and your booking tools, in days.

Fair questions

Can it book straight into my reservation system?

It books into the system you already use when that system allows it. When it doesn't, the agent takes the details and sends them to your team to confirm. We check which one applies before we build anything.

Does it answer texts as well as calls?

Yes. Guests can text and get the same answers and the same booking steps they would get on a call.

What happens when it doesn't know an answer?

It says it doesn't know, then takes a message or hands the guest to a person. It answers from what you told it and nothing else.

What does it cost?

Plans start at $199. What you pay depends on what the agent does, and the pricing page walks through it.
